Membership
B.A.J.A. Sporting Club, Inc. (BAJA) is a non-partisan membership organization where members engage in organized sporting events plus social, charitable, and community enhancement activities.
Age & Geographic Boundaries
Membership is open to all persons fifty (50) and older (or turn 50 during the year of joining BAJA), male and female, who maintain a residential or business address within the geographic territory extending along the I-19 corridor from Sahuarita through Nogales, including Green Valley, Amado, Rio Rico. The Club will consider allowing softball players and bowlers who live outside these boundaries to become members, on an as-needed basis.
Membership Dues/Benefits - General or Softball:
Every member who plans to participate in a BAJA sponsored sport must fill out an application and pay their dues annually ($35, $75, or $100). There are two membership categories: General or Softball. People who want to join, but not participate in a BAJA sport, would pay the $35 General Membership fee. Softball has two levels of dues: One League or Multi-League.

General Membership = $35.00 to participate in golf, bowling, and/or vote in club-wide decisions. [People who wish to join, but not participate in a BAJA sport, would pay the $35 General Membership fee.]
Membership is from January to December and includes:
- All BAJA bowling
- All BAJA golf
- All BAJA social events and meetings
- BAJA eBlast newsletter keeping members up to date on club news
- Voting on club-wide decisions
Softball Membership = TWO LEVELS:
One League = $75 for the year
Multi-League = $100 for the year*
Softball Membership is from January to December. There are many costs to the club for field preparation, equipment, materials, balls and more. Accordingly, players who participate in one or more of the following leagues: Allison, Catino, Spirit, Off-Season during the year are asked to pay more. For example, if you plan to play in two Winter Season Leagues, such as Catino and Spirit, then you will need to pay $100. Likewise, if you plan to play in a Winter Season League and the Off-Season League sessions, you will need to pay $100. If you paid $75 for participation in one league and decide to play in another league, you will need to pay an additional $25. Mail a $25 check to BAJA Sporting Club, P.O Box 1341, Green Valley, AZ 85622. Annotate: “Multi-league make up.”
Softball players who wish to participate in the following year’s January-March Winter League must submit their annual membership application/dues by November 1st to be eligible for the draft onto sponsored teams.
Membership also includes:
- All BAJA bowling
- All BAJA golf
- All BAJA social events and meetings
- BAJA eBlast newsletter keeping members up to date on club news
- Voting on club-wide decisions
